Sentiment to the Impending Crisis in Sulu

Today marks the 69th day ordeal of the three abducted workers of the International Committee of Red Cross in Sulu. Think of the ordeal and the difficulties the victims and the families are experiencing right this moment. Each one calling for an end to this crisis. Hoping that one day, they'll just remember this day a nightmare that needs forgetting. An ordeal that needs healing.

The Italian embassy, the Swiss embassy and the Philippine government should somehow move a little forward to come-up with an immediate resolution to stop the shehanigans of the politicians, uniformed personnel and the un-shameful bandits of Mindanao.

All concern entities should now move towards resolving this age-old issue on kidnapping for ransom which seemed has become a livelihood for this criminals. A spit to their faces; A heinous deed that has become a smack to these cause. It is inevitable to feel there should be a way for the concerns, government in particular, to liquidate these pseudo-bandits in Sulu and whole of Mindanao.

Opportunities lost. Such primitive problem is causing so much loss of opportunities; funds that would have better used in livelihood for the poor locals. But, worse, they add-up to the problems. An ever decreasing potential of the country to promote foreign investments because of these recurring problems of peace and order.

In the hope that today be a better day for their situation and the peace of my Homeland, Mindanao, I remain prayerful.
