Christmas Gift Wrappings

P1080160

P1080162This post is for Ms. Theta, my manita.

Okay! I am not that good at gift wrappings but I did anyway. Well, my father helped me so that it becomes more like an industrial package now. See the picture. :-) There's something soft inside I can not tell you - it's classified until ten PM this evening.

The bare skin shown off. The industrial adhesives taped around the box makes it looks scary. It looks like a bomb bare skin so we need a fancy Christmas wrapper to make it nice. And it's bulging too. Don't be fooled. The angle taken for this picture just makes it looks like it's big but it's not.

P1080163Funny thing is, there aren't any grocery stores selling Christmas gift wrappers so I opt to use the Birthday gift paper instead. If there's a list of anything 'hard to buy' in Dubai. A Christmas gift wrapper should qualify to the list. LOL! Not one grocery store is selling the stuff - Shuhada! Mosquel Kabir!

Well, I am not that good at gift wrappings but, Voila! Done in less than an hour. LOL! Company party is in two hours. What's inside? That is for Ms. Theta to find out. I hope she'll like what's inside more than what she can see here.

No Sweat for Manny

Wow! A sweet victory! And, a sweet surrender for Oscar who didn't wait to be knocked out.

manny4 We always believe in an old boxing cliche that says, ""the good big man will always beat a good little man". That was not the case happening on Pacquiao - Dela Hoya fight in the night of December 6. Indeed, this was David slaying Goliath in trunks and gloves.

Pacquiao, who started in boxing in the flyweight division, proved to be agile and fast which ultimately, proved too strong for the heavier De La Hoya - the golden boy. Added to his victory, Pacquiao with his signature moves, plays the elusive boxer which by the way inherent among intelligent athletes. Pacquiao, a reigning lightweight at 135 pounds worked out and moved to meet De La Hoya's 147 pounds stature.

The Pinoy's agility over the game again proves his dominance on a stirring upset of the game. The fate of the fight, which was backed up by a remark uttered by Manny's coach Freddy Roach sometime in the middle of the rounds saying, "Don't get lazy on the play", proves perseverance and stamina matters in the game such as this one.manny1

Again, Manny, blankets his victory to millions of Filipinos watching over his games. An endeavor, model to every Filipino man and woman in this everyday battle in life - back home and abroad.

Some of the games recap can be read from this link. You can always browse Youtube for this famous Manny-Oscar fight.

Reward Beyond Incentives

It is the inspiration and dedication amongst selves and others that endeavors are won by synergy. It is only when your people starts to feels they are winners that your company shall prevail the ultimate times of global enterprise competition. Human innovation is essential to the enterprise if its very goal is to survive and win the race.

Long gone are the days when bullying is necessary to build success as massive and monumental as the pyramid. The times is crystal clear that synergy is essential for building a success. It must be a unanimous because the success of the team is the success of the individual. The same success happened to a tiny group of people in a super-high tech animal stable in Dubai City. In the heart of desert, working day and night, rain and shine, for one purpose only, to win a race.

image Godolphin is an Arabian company owned by an esteemed ruler of Dubai, Sheik Muhammed himself. Employed more than a eight hundred people from all over Asia. This super hi-tech stable fosters over six-hundred horses from all over the world whose owners are big-time gamblers, animal enthusiasts and lovers alike. Over four-hundred prominent and wealthy individuals and families from all over GCC, Europe and Asia.

Six hundred champion horses to take care is just too much to handle. So the organization decided to adapt a mere unique management style to formulate success.

There is one person for every two horses. One person for one or two specific job. One horse is taken care of two to ten persons whose job really is to make the animal tidy and made the healthiest horse alive on earth. Ten jobs per one horse.

And, one of the most revolting job of all I think was the scooping of the animal manure in the span of eight to ten hours a day for six weeks. The people assigned to it would be doing it for over six months to a year. From scoop guy to horse trainer, all must work together making the horse perform at its best all for the purpose beyond monetary reward, and that is success.

Basically, the contest was about a horse having it to win because it comes with an incentive for the team taking care of the horse. The winning incentive they said could reach up to a hundred thousand dirhams rewards tag.

imageI've never seen a worker so happy in his entire labor life than this one. His job was I think one of the most revolting and unlikely job in the world and yet you can see his every groove that he's content and tried to be happy. He feels like he always had some things to expect and look upon the future. A behavior somewhat obscure, me finding out about his what is it about his grin is tempting enough to ask. Why the disgust? This man is a horse lover. He loves the horse as much as he likes his job.

So, the horse is everyone's job. One has to make every effort to make his horse happy and healthy always till the racing season comes. Even to the point of scooping the animal refuse - just to accomplish what he is paid and based his hope for. His job revolves around the other 600 more horses and men housed in a high-tech stable. Every man comes to this facility as early as five o'clock in the morning, before sunrise, replacing those who were in shift the past night before.

The secret of success of this organization was the belief of equality and trust that no job is the least of the line. Encouraged participation and making individuals part of the growth in this race in a global competition.
